Coursinty
Client Overview:
Coursinty is a Learning and Development (L&D) company that provides educational solutions and professional training for organizations. They focus on delivering change management training programs to help businesses and governmental entities in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) implement strategic changes effectively.
Project Objective:
Coursinty approached me to design a comprehensive and visually engaging pitch that would:
- Present their change management model in a professional, easy-to-understand way.
- Be adaptable for pitching to both private companies and governmental entities in the GCC.
- Reflect their expertise and credibility in the L&D space.
- Include an engaging cross-selling section to promote related services.
Process Overview:
1. Discovery and Research:
My first step was to deeply understand Coursinty’s unique value proposition, their change management model, and the preferences of their target audience, including decision-makers in both corporate and governmental sectors. I also researched cultural preferences and design expectations in the GCC to ensure the pitch resonated with the regional audience.
I collaborated closely with Coursinty’s stakeholders to identify key messages and pain points they wanted to address in their pitch. This phase also included a review of their existing branding guidelines and materials to maintain brand consistency.
2. Wireframing and Structure:
I began the design process by creating low-fidelity wireframes to map out the structure of the presentation. This step focused on the flow of content, ensuring that complex ideas like the change management process were broken down into digestible, clear sections.
Key sections included:
- An introduction to Coursinty and their change management philosophy.
- A step-by-step breakdown of the change management model.
- Case studies and success stories.
- Cross-selling section: “If you’re learning this, you might also be interested in…”
This allowed me to create a user-centered design that guided the audience seamlessly through the presentation.
3. Visual Design and Screen Creation:
With the wireframes approved, I moved on to the high-fidelity design phase. I created visually polished screens that:
- Emphasized Coursinty’s professionalism through clean lines, a cohesive color palette, and typography that reflected their brand identity.
- Used custom-designed icons and infographics to simplify the complex change management concepts.
- Included culturally appropriate visual elements to appeal to the GCC audience, such as iconography that resonates with governmental entities and private sector leaders.
Each design element was chosen to make the presentation not just visually appealing but also functional, ensuring that the content could be easily digested by the audience.
4. PowerPoint Presentation Development:
Once the screen designs were finalized, I converted the entire presentation into a PowerPoint format. I ensured that all elements—text, graphics, and diagrams—were fully editable, giving the Coursinty team flexibility to update the pitch as needed for different audiences or industries.
This phase included:
- Incorporating animations and transitions to make the presentation more dynamic.
- Creating reusable templates for future presentations.
- Structuring the slides in a logical, story-driven format that ensured audience engagement.
5. Cross-Selling Section:
I designed a dedicated section titled “If you are learning this, you might be interested in…” to promote additional training programs and services offered by Coursinty. This cross-selling section was strategically placed at the end of the pitch, encouraging organizations to explore complementary services, thus driving further business opportunities for Coursinty.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Throughout the project, I maintained close collaboration with the Coursinty team. Regular feedback sessions were held to ensure alignment with their vision and objectives. I worked alongside content creators, copywriters, and marketing professionals, ensuring that every aspect of the presentation was aligned with Coursinty’s messaging and branding guidelines.
I also facilitated workshops to ensure that the Coursinty team was confident in editing and presenting the materials themselves, empowering them to make changes without requiring external help in the future.
Results and Impact:
The final product was a professional, visually captivating, and user-centered pitch that Coursinty could confidently present to both corporate clients and governmental entities. The flexibility of the design and editable elements allowed them to tailor the presentation for various stakeholders.
Feedback from Coursinty highlighted:
- An increase in engagement during presentations.
- Positive reception from governmental and corporate audiences alike.
- Enhanced ability to cross-sell other learning and development services, leading to a noticeable increase in inquiries for additional training programs.
Key Learnings:
- Understanding cultural nuances and regional expectations in design is crucial when creating presentations for audiences in the GCC.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams ensures that the final product aligns with both business objectives and user experience goals.
- Providing clients with editable and adaptable materials increases the long-term value and usability of the design work.
